Gym Time

This last week was pretty AMAZING!!! Work has been so awesome. I find myself getting to work early and staying late just because I enjoy what I’m doing. Every day presents itself with new challenges. Outside of work I did well in attending both my yoga and spin classes. Kelly had plans to fix Valentine’s dinner but we rescheduled for this weekend so that I could hit the gym. I’m really starting to see gym time pay off. My clothes fit better, I’m more confident, and I just feel better. I’m able to run on the treadmill longer and faster than I did prior to suffering my PE. Kind of strange, but I will take the better, new and improve me any day. I’m looking forward to this week because it is my short week and will have Friday off. Kelly and I are heading to Durango Saturday to hit up the spa for another side by side massage session.
Well there isn’t much more to report other than my weekly progress:

Chocolate Isn't Just For Eating

This week was a short work week for me. I love having every other Friday off. This Friday, Kelly and I had side beside chocolate oil massages followed with some lunch in Durango. It was the perfect way to spend an early Valentine’s. The weather has been amazing here but I can’t find the motivation to get outside just yet. It’s still a little too cold for my comfort level. I have started going to the gym more often and I feel a million times better. I’m beat by the time I get home but I feel so much better the next day.

This week I was tasked with presenting a presentation to 130 plus people. I was so nervous but I knew I could do it. Apparently I did very well. After I gave the presentation I sat down and thought what on earth just happened, I don’t remember a thing.  However, I was complimented for my composure and that made me feel better about it. I absolutely love my job and the benefits of being where I am at.  I am so grateful to be at this place in my life.

On Friday, I completely blew past my daily caloric intake, but hey it was a special day. I was back on track first thing this morning. I have found that I do a lot better when I plan each meal ahead of time. This way if something should come up I know where my numbers are and what I can do to compensate, whether it mean a smaller portion or a harder workout in the evening.  Here is the update of my numbers:

Weekly Update

This has been a great week for me. I passed a pulmonary exam required for my position at work. I really didn’t think I was going to pass. I needed a 70% and got a 74%. I’ll take it. I also found out that I am eligible to graduate with my Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Safety this semester. This will be my third associate’s degree.  I should probably start working on my masters at some point. I’m running out of classes to take at San Juan. I did really well for hitting my goals this week. I finished the book One for the Money. It was a good easy read. Everyone I know has read it and my mom wanted to go watch it at the movies so I figure I could read it before we watched the movie.  This week I’m planning on picking up my workout routine. I have been doing really well on staying within my daily caloric intake but I have not been staying consistent with my workouts.  I am really enjoying yoga and spin classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening. However, twice a week is just not cutting it for me. I am feeling better and better all the time and have a lot more energy than I use to. I still have some fears that if I try to hard I will have set backs but at the same time I don’t want my fear to become an excuse.
Although this is Superbowl Sunday, I’m not really feeling it since the Packers didn’t make it this year. I’m more wrapped up in the WM Phoenix Open. I love this tournament. I am sad that once again, we weren’t able to attend. I love going and seeing all my favorite athletes, the crowd on hole 16, and feeling the warm sun. I’m hoping that next year we will be able to make it happen.
I finally replaced my ripped up pants with new ones. They are a size bigger than the pants I had before but at the same time, they are still a size smaller than what I was wearing a year ago. These pants are fairly loose and probably can’t be worn for much longer. I also got my hair done this week. I cut and colored it. I needed a bit of a change.
Below is my updated metrics. I have only lost a pound but I have lost 3 inches. I can’t complain about that. I look forward to seeing what this Thursday’s check-in has in store for me.
